Hong Kong Trip

It's been a long time since my last holiday. However i manage to get myself into a vacation with KP last month :-) We flew to Hong Kong last month on the 2nd. It was spring at that time so it was kinda cool and it's kinda ideal weather to move around in.

We manage to get cheap flight tickets from AirAsia for just RM450+ (return ticket) and on the first day, we reach there at night. Not so good. What to do, cheap ticket ma. So first thing that happen when we reach HK is to pay HKD300+ for the taxi ride from airport to Shatin. Damn it's expensive. Besides that, other stuffs was okay. The airport direction is straightforward, easy to get a taxi, no traffic jam, got a free room upgrade by the hotel (Royal Park Hotel).

Reaching the hotel at around 10pm, we don't have much choice for our dinner. So we asked around for any hawker food nearby and we found one just below a residential flat with the help of taxi and some walk. Luckily the food was quite nice. At least didn't make us regret for the trouble looking for it.

Okay.... lets go to the POI (place of interest) section, shall we?

basically, i'll go through the places that's worth going.

The Peak + Madame Tussauds.
This is a good place to visit to take some pictures and you can experience the "Peak Tram" ride. The price for wax house and tram ticket is around HKD300 (can't remember the exact amount). There's a shopping complex up there if you want to shop, but that's not the main idea of going up there. You can find more shopping at the island. It's around 20 degree average during my visit and it's cooler at the peak. So it's a bit of challenge taking a stroll outside snapping some of the nice picture of HK night view. Sadly it was hazy that night and we're not able to capture a clear one. What a waste.

This place was recommended by the taxi driver. Indeed, it's nice. The place was rundown, filthy, and the patrons there looked like those gangsters in HK movie. But the food was good.

I can't read chinese, if you wanna go please remember the shop name.

Lantau Island (Ngong Ping 360)
This is another nice place to visit. You can have a great view over Lantau Island and the HK International Airport.

Optionally you can walk rather than taking the cable car (crazy).

Great view here too. It's a must to take a stroll here. Spectacular night view, plus you can enjoy the (FREE) light show here every day at 8pm.

Apparently there's a live performance During weekends. Lucky us.

We decided to have a visit to Macau. Took the First Ferry from Tsim Tsa Tsui.

Dim Sum
Food is the main attraction in HK. Basically they have lots of variety and taste good. One of the food that one must try while visiting HK is their Dim Sum. We waited for roughly 15-20 minutes for out seat at the dim sum restaurant, Shatin Shopping Mall.

In the restaurant. Basically you'll be miserable if you can't read chinese character. 80% of the restaurant in HK had their menu in chinese only.

Apparently Hongkies are kinda fond of satay flavour. They have some numbers of food with that flavour.

Located at Wan Chai. The tart just sold out. We need to wait for 5 minutes for a freshly baked one =)

What you can ask more with a freshly baked HK egg tart in your hand.

Transportation
They have a very good public transport in HK. Using a same payment card (octopus) for all. Purchase the card for HKD150 (deposit 50, value 100). The Bus and MTR frequency is quite high.

The bus condition is better than what they have in Singapore.

MTR (HK) frequency is higher than MRT (SG). But MRT (SG) exit and terminal change direction is better.

Didn't have the chance to hopped on a city tram.

Indeed HK is a mature and interesting city. Though they're quite arrogance and rude. Still we encounter some nice people that offer direction guide to us. Not all eggs are rotten in the basket. Although they're rude, the customer service provided by the sales people in shopping complex is outstanding. Never once i been offer to seat while waiting (standing beside her) for KP to test/buy some products in KL. But in HK, without fail i would be ask to seat while waiting for KP (in every single shop that we visited). If you're in their shop and browsing their stuffs, they'll just inform you if there's any discount and call for them if you inquiry or wanna try it on. That's all, no standing behind you and keep pushing you to buy or try it on. That's neat.

Something to get used to. They're chinese in all type of jobs. Including garbage lady.

Ker Chea's Wedding

21 March 2009 marked the day Ker Chea transit to another phase in her life, becoming someone's wife =)

Cooincidently my colleague Khen wedding falls on the same day and i have to skip his dinner, sorry ya. Congrat to you too.

I'm quite excited too because she is actually one of the closes (non-relative) person that i knew getting married. Since she is my girlfriend's elder sister, i'm quite familiar with the environment and day to day activities of their family. Knowing after today things might change a lot, it give me strange feeling and i'm wondering if anyone in the family can get use to it or not.

The bridegroom will reach bridesmaid house around 7:15am and i suppose to reach there before that or i'll get locked outside together with the groom's "heng dai", unfortunately i woke up at 7:00 and got there after they arrived.... o.O it doesn't matter anyway, it's ok to be at outside. I can take some pictures up close =P

They need to travel from Cheras to Kota Kemuning. So they ended up drive slowly on the highway since they have a lot of time to spare and causing traffic jam along the kesas highway! geezz ... now i know why KL traffic jam all the time.

Valentine's Days 2009

I did a post on Valentines Days last year, this is the second post =)

We have gone through this special days for four times. It's been my luck to have KP by my side for these few years. I enjoy her company and we can communicate within the same wavelength. I believe this is something that doesn't come by easily.

This year we went to Changkat Bukit Bintang, TwentyOne. I was a bit scared that this place will turn out to be a big let down because i was able to get a booking few days before the v day. One of my colleague tried few restaurants and all of them is fully booked. But it's nice from the picture, so i just go ahead.

The place turn out to be okay. Nice deco, good ambience, good service, decent food (but portion a bit small). Not much people dining there even when we left, maybe because it's classified as Kitchen and Bar. It's kinda place that you go hang out and have a few drinks. Recommended if you wanna have a few drinks with your friends.

Internet is DOWN!

Lately there's a lots of problem with the internet. Mainly is due to the ISP (TmNet).

This interrupt my everyday activities like checking mails, facebooking, download movie/song, surf for information, work from home, etc etc...

So that's why i don't have the mood to blog till now. The Internet is getting stable and i thought (at last! back to normal). But... last few days the connection seems weird. i can surf for awhile.... and got totally cut off! can't even ping any website. And this is resolved everytime i restarted my modem. I thought maybe its some exceptional case, so i just ignore it.

This problem still happening after several day and that's IT! It's not something that happen only once in a blue moon. Something must have goes wrong. So after several testing getting my hand dirty with all the several month accumulated dust laying on the modem, router and cables i finally found out that my modem is at the "to be kong(dead)" stage. My modem will just disconnect my router even with DHCP or static configuration.

So i drive all the way to low yat today to get a new modem. It's pretty hard to find a modem only device. Normally they come with router/router (wireless). Since i already have a wireless router, i don't need to spend extra bucks to get one with both.

This is the one going to be dead.

Gua Tempurung Trip

This is the 1st trip that i have with my colleagues after more than a year in the company, apart from work visit to Singapore. That doesn't count =)

This trip was organised by Joe though he's the person who join latest in our team here. He been to Gua Tempurung before and he's recommending it to us. Actually this is not my first time visiting Tempurung. It's my second time. I had a feel of it when i was 12 years old. ha ha... i don't remember much of it, but things does changed alot here.

We've 10 person in this cave trip which is primarily consists of iHR and TRI team plus Joe's and Teng Foong's friends. The plan was to reach there at 9 and it tooks around 1.5-2 hours journey. I think you can figured it out what time we depart from KL.

We divided into 3 cars, 1 from south, 1 from north, and another one is 1 way trip car(for those going back hometown to Ipoh). I'm from the south, so i'm travelling together with Joe, Joe's friend, and Kelvin. I have to reach OUG at 5.45am (supposed to be) to meet up with them and have a breakfast with them before departing. Um.. well.... i did reach at 6am+, not too late right =)

After approx 2 hours of driving, we finally reach the place. Exit Gopeng from the highway and you'll see road sign directing to here.

They have 2 types of tour. Dry and wet. Wet will be more adventurous and it'll cover the whole path, while dry only covers till certain section in the cave and which is the one we're going for (since a lot folks not keen on getting their legs wet).

It's extremely dark in there and most of the picture that i took in the cave is not viewable =(

This is the bad of PS (point & shoot) camera in low light condition. But atleast Jimmy took some nice picture inside of the cave.

They have spot lights at certain interesting point in the cave and that enhance the beauty of it. Some of the scene inside is spectacular. Even gives you the feel similar to LOTR (the part when they're in the cave). The space in the cave is very huge and it has some drawings left behind from those staying there during the war. Some section in the cave is very windy and some stuffy.

That's all bout Gua Tempurung. Next we're heading for Perak Cave and Kek Look Tong in Ipoh. Teeng Foong is our tour guide now.

We had our lunch before heading to the next cave at Ipoh dai shu giok (eatery place under a big tree).

This is the place for dating as i can see quite some numbers of couples there. Even Joe been there before with his ex gf.

After this we proceed to our last cave of the day, Perak Cave. We couldn't do any more walking after this one. It's freaking lots of stairs!

It's already 3pm+ after visiting Perak Cave. and we're heading back to KL and call it a day. We stopped by Bidor for the famous duck noodle and by some fruits before continuing back to KL. The rains accompany us all the way back to KL and i reached my house at 8pm+.

After all the tiring walking and hiking, overally it's a great experince and should do it at least once? Hope Lee Chyee didn't regret following us for the trip at the last minute =)

I was heading for gym @ Leisure Mall on Saturday afternoon and notice this cute bike. I don't feel anything special bout this bike at the 1st glance, but after few seconds i was like "eh, how come this bike is like that?" and i quickly snap 2 picture and coolly walk off =D

Fullhouse @ NZX

Heard about this nicely deco restaurant from my friends and pictures from their facebook makes me wanna try out this new place Fullhouse @ NZX. For those who don't know what is NZX, it's stands for Niu Ze Xui located at Kelana Jaya. But NZX is an acronym for "New Zealand Stock Exchange" too, so don't get the wrong idea about getting any stock tips or infos here =D

Going to the place is quite "not so direct" because it's like a hidden city similar to those in "Indiana Jones". You'll need to go through all the small residential roads and a tunnel before reaching there. The place is nice conceptually, but it turns out to be a bit of "rojak" and bad location. Imagine you can have a nice restaurant/cafe at a corner, but along the stretch you can get a lousy coffee shop. A very confusing theme i must say. As for the location, a feeling that you'll need lots of efforts in order to reach the place (maybe not for those who stay nearby). You won't have the chance of bumping into NZX (e.g. Mid Valley, Leisure Mall) and have a thought of "hey, why don't we just have our dinner here?". Doing business is all about location apart from your products and services (for retails). They're losing out there.

Anyway, there's still a gem there in NZX =) Nicely deco restaurant/cafe, one of its kind in KL (AFAIK). Lets the pictures do the talking (camera phone, bear with the quality).

Running Java 5 Compiled classes/Jar on JRE1.4

Most of you might not need and bother to know about running Java 1.5 compiled classes on JRE1.4. Why? you don't need to. Run with JRE1.5 or higher. No issues.

But sometimes, though i admit it is very annoying that you need to run in that behaviour. You might happen to have a set of codes which relies on an 3rd part API that is Java 5 onwards compatible (i.e. Apache Camel) and it's working great and *SNAP* there's 1 client that still running on JRE1.4 that need to have that functionalities. I've panicked for about 5mins myself until i came across this "Retrotranslator".

Retrotranslator enable you to run Java 5 compiled class on JRE1.4 or 1.3 in 2 ways.

1. Transform the classes/Jar into Java 1.4 compatible.

2. Run Java 5 class on JRE1.4 using Just-In-Time(JIT) Retrotranslator to translate Java 5 byte codes to Java 1.4 on the fly.

Personally i'll prefer first option (not knowing how is this Retrotranslator behaving). After using it for some time, i found it's quite stable and have no problems at all =)

Here's how you convert a Java 5 classes/Jar to Java 1.4:

java -jar retrotranslator-transformer-n.n.n.jar -advance -srcjar

The "-advance" option is to resolve compatibility issues between Java 5 and 1.4. Such as new methods that found in Java 5 but not 1.4. But it has only limited support. After running the Command, the jar file will be converted into Java 1.4 compatible. Now you can use this Jar on JRE 1.4.

Bad Shoes Day!!

I was attending my friend's house warming on friday night and had a crazy night cuz alot of my old college friends were also there. Playing alots of stupid drinking games... really play until you scared. Ok good. Party over. everyone go home... say bye bye to everyone. So drive back lor.... reach home at about 2am+. open the main gate, close it, take off my shoes, open the door, go inside, close it, and straight to bed and dozed.

So everything is great and fine until my mother knocking on my room door in the morning and told me that all of our shoes got STOLEN!!! I was like... WTF? my leather shoe, nike sport shoe, adidas sneaker, GEOX casual shoe all GONE! luckily i left my slippers in my car and that's the only things i can wear on my foot now! Those thieves nowdays... even shoes also want to steal.

Now i can't go to work, gym, or any outings that requires you to wear a shoe! here goes few hundred bucks to get a new leather shoe for work and a sport shoe. At least my working shoe before next tuesday. If not i'll be wearing slippers to work =D

The moral of the story is keep your shoes locked or inside the house and curse you all shoes thieves!!!!

Buck Consultants's New Office Opening Ceremony

This is the new office of Buck Consultants located at IBP (International Business Park), Jurong East. Moved from GB Building, Tanjong Pagar. The new location is similar with TPM (Technology Park Malaysia). A lots of trees, large area... etc etc.. but not as convinient compare to the previous office because not much shops around and the MRT is a bit far from office (15min walk).

I'm sure the ppl in Buck will miss the old place. But in return they'll have larger, new fresh office and cheaper foods =)

Both of us me and my sister were at home and wanted to go out for lunch. After a hard time thinking where to go for our lunch she recommended us to try out 'Fong Lye' a Taiwanese restaurant at 'The Garden' Midvalley. There's a lots of new eateries opened at the new Midvalley mall extension.

So we're drove all the way to 'The Garden' from Sri Petaling and the great thing is NO JAM :) Today is a public holiday though i can't remember what holiday is that.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the food is nice. But a bit at the pricy side. Anyway here's some picture.

Steamboat is the most common food available and liked by most people in Malaysia. This is one of the popular place for the delicious food @ Taman Cheras. Choong Huat Steamboat =)

After thinking of what to eat with KP, we decided to revisit this place. Too bad it rains when we're still in midway enjoying the food. Normally we prefer to sit at open air area but i think we made a wrong decision this time. There's several soup base you can choose from and we picked our beloved Tom Yam & Herbal soup for the steamboat.

Food are nice but the place is not so clean. I prefer "Ho Ho Steamboat" @ Sri Petaling.

Lunch @ Sasha's Studio Apartment

It's been a long time since Sasha said wanted to cook for us (she claimed she can cook very well!). after alots of months, finally came the day she do what she said. He he...

She invited us to her new place in Damansara Perdana during our lunchtime during work to try out her cooking. She's working from home that day, so... she'll have time preparing the stuff for us (eh, u don't need to work ah? spending all the time preparing food >.<).

We drove all the way from our office in Tropicana to Damansara Perdana via LDP highway and she said why we so stupid using the long way rather than via Kota Damansara, so hurt by that remarks since we're so sincere trying to try out her cooking and purposely come -.-"

Ok, what do we think bout the food? i think is not too bad, just abit out of taste. With more practise i think should be okay. But really appreciate the efforts and time from Sasha to prepare the food for us. TQ!

Whoa.... seems like i've abandon my blog for quite some time. let me count, 1.. 2.. 3... omg... 12 months! (1 YEAR?). probably i just being lazy or too busy to blog. Maybe both.

Okay... should i write a longgg... entry to put in all the updates? nah.... maybe just some important one.

I moved to a new company at the end of last year and been busy right after that cuz i've been station to overseas (Singapore) for several months. Alots of catch up need to be done at work. Can't come back to see my family, KP, and friends. I've ended stucked there for about 4 month in total *sigh*. Pretty bored over there with not much friends and a CAR! not to say the MRT is bad over there, but it's just different :D
Right now it's pretty quite stable down on my work. Getting used to the way its being operated.

There's another thing that i've moved. My house in March. Ha ha.... moving so many things... luckily not my gf :p
Moved to same neighbourhood also ... not far from my previous house. Not more than 100 steps from Endah Parade Taxi stand. Supposed to moved in Febuary before chinese new year, but the renovation can't make it. so, like that lor.... Had a house warming roughly 2 months after i moved in. Besides my relatives, thx to KP, Wilson, Mei Kar, Tat Wai, Mei Fong, Fatt Wai for coming and your presents :)

Hmm... what else... aiyah...can't think now. Will con't back posting :) Till the next post.

Privasia Bowling Tournament

Recently my company held a bowling tournament at Mid Valley Cosmic Bowl. It suppose to be a team building kinda thing but i prefer it to be something more, such as outdoor activities, an overnight event... etc etc.. haih.... but ok ler...

Well, all the staff are randomly put into a team of 4 people by our HR manager Sulaiha and we got around 14 teams. And before the tournament, i don't even know half of my team members. Ha ha.... cuz another 2 member of my team is based in Westport so didn't meet them before. I participate in this tournament just for fun as everyone else is going and i didn't expect to win anything as i've not played bowling for few years.

But we all have to eat it cuz no choice and we're freaking hungry!

Here's goes our winning throw.

Each team plays 3 games. After that total scores of the 3 games will be sum up and highest score team will be the winner. We're very energetic in the first game but gradually getting worst in the 2nd and 3rd game. We all had a great time that night though is tiring and we poke around other team to check out their score and some chit chat.

After the game, we have a simple winner announcement (whatever you called it) and a prize presentation ceremony.

TA DA! guessed what? my team got 3rd runner up with the average of 400+ points per game. and we got ourself 2 GSC movie voucher each. So unexpected.

After that we heading back home and have a good rest. It feels like i've drained all my energy. Thanks for the effort team!

Melaka Trip

Been to Melaka town few weeks back. It's actually my first time visiting this city and i heard there's a lot of nice foods. Driving down in the afternoon after visiting Wilson's tailor (final adjustment to his coat for his graduation) in KLCC and coming back at the wee hours (damn tired and sleepy on the way back).

Reach there around 4pm+ and hit straight to the famous Melaka cendol.

After that we ended our trip. Go back to KL at 12am +. Tired but happy. Thanks Guys. But dunno why, I just felt that this trip missed something to complete it. o.O

Haagen Dazs Fondue

Tried Haagen Dazs Fondue recently at Mid Valley. Wanted to tried it out long time.... but can't find a time for it until recently =)

The price is a bit pricey (RM 60++) considering the amount of stuff they're giving us. Nevertheless, it taste good and it's not a heavy meal, so you can take for you tea time or anytime before your dinner.

Very happy cuz finally going to tried it out, it was sold out the when we ordering it last time.

Hmm... long waiting for the fondue to be served.

It's been a long long time since i last updated my blog. I'm just too busy with works and other stuff to even think of writing anything here. I don't even knows if anyone still visit to my blog. Ha ha....

A lot has happen during this period. Happy, sad, exhausted, uncertainties, feeling job well done, pressure, etc etc..... It's like a total package. A complete one. When someone think that life is easy they aren't. Why is that? I don't anyone have the definite answer to that. Do any of you? Sometimes tired is just tired. No matter how strong you are. On top of that, to make thing more complete, your family is adding all the stuff to you that makes things worst and worst.

Why are things like this........ you can't even do anything. It's like stopping a bulldozer with your bare hand. Which you definitely FAIL! And what to you can do? Nothing? I don't know. You don't know. No freaking people know.

This is adult life that we all have to face. Good or bad. Logically solution, learn to accept the reality and move on. But the fact is, we can't do that. We're human. We're no fucking computer which only have "IF" and "ELSE". We have feeelings.... things that we can't control totally. But that also what makes us unique and special.

Don't even know how to write on. just wanna say life not cherry and flower but full of malaysian pot holes!

Football Pitch Field Size

Football is a popular game here in Malaysia and people do get crazy for it. They love it! There's several types of football lover here and i'll put it in 3 different types.

1. Those who like to watch only.

2. Those who like to watch and does play football (so they claim to know more bout football than the 1st type).

3. Fanatics. Those who dig deeply into the clubs history and able to remember the whole damn players since the club is born.

These type that i've categories might not match perfectly to what we have here in Malaysia but it's close to the real situation.

Ok, so ... about football field. They ARE built in different sizes. Even those from type 2 football lover would made a silly statement of ALL FOOTBALL STADIUM FIELD ARE IN THE SAME SIZE!

Here i attached with some facts of different pitch sizes across europe. I strongly urge people to read up more before making any statement.

Slam Dunk Manga Greatest Moment

I'm always a big fans of Slam Dunk manga. I started reading it way back during my secondary school and i instantly got hooked to it. I would buy the new episode every release each month and a month is a very long period for me to know what going to happen NEXT! Being not able to read chinese is a big drawback if you're comic lovers as most to the japanese version are translated more accurate and faster(available in market faster) to chinese version. So i can only resort to a malay version as it's the only available version in the market that i understood. But it still good.

But, back then i can't get all of the episode because few of it not available from the market as they skip the episode. I don't know bout other place, but this is what happen in KL. I really got frustrated that time, but what can i do? I missed few episode in the middle and 2 episode at the end. Damn! And that's the situation until last week.

Last week i reading back some of my old comics and SNAP! why don't i search from the net? I googled for it and found torrent for "Slam Dunk Manga"! all of them.

Finally, after all these years..... i able to complete the story..... hahaha.

And here are the greatest moment in the entire story that i've waited for so many years.

Farewell on Valentine's Day

In these modern days sometimes we celebrate events without even knowing the reason why it exists in the first place. It's like the story of monkeys in the cage (if you heard bout that, never mind if you don't). I'm one of those people and overheard why Valentine's day exist from the radio. Basically St. Valentine is a priest who refused Roman Emperor Claudius 2's law ordering young men to remained single so that they'll become better soldier. Valentine however covertly perform marriage ceremony for young catholic men and been sentenced to death by the Emperor after it's been found out. Full story here.

This year Valentine's day is a bit special for me. It's my farewell day to my beloved colleagues as i'll be leaving them (ahem, *to a new company*). Though it's just a short period with them, they treat me very good and supportive though sometimes some of them tend to behave abnormally (you know who am i talking about). Really have fun during my tenure here.

Sometimes things doesn't enough with just that. A lot of other aspects has it shares of important. I'm regret that things didn't worked out and have to move on. But at least i got the chance to know these great peoples. Hope we can have the chance to work together again in the future!

We always talk among our own group of friends who looked similar to whom and we laugh our heads off when they're matched with someone hideous or funny. Public Mindset

Here i am, sitting in front of my big bulky crt monitor practically doing nothing on a Friday night. A lots of people said that we should go out get some life or at least do something rather than staying at home.

Well... a lots of people tends to think that we should follow the norms so that we won't looked weird or be more acceptable to the mass peoples. True, to some extends such as you can't dig your nose in the public or do something illegal. Got what i mean? But sometimes peoples asked why do you
eats all you vegetable and then the meat, those kind of things. This is really over the board as WHY should one person MUST follows a specific flows or ways? Maybe it's our Malaysian education system that implants this mindset to our brains. I do not mean that other countries do not have this issues, but not until these level i guess. We start follows the "obeying instructions" thing from day one since we started our primary till the end of our secondary/form 6. We're not brought up in a environment whereby we need to think then act, but do what have been told. Over times, these is how we're being shaped into. And these is why we're lacking compare to other developed countries. What amazed me so much is that WHY our government failed to notice this critical point and do nothing to at least improves a little to our education system from time to time? *shaking head in disbelief*.

Introducing English as the medium to be used for science and maths do count as some improvements made by our education minister, but that does not improve on the critical aspects which is the ways people do things and think. It's true that mastering English would helps, but you still can't think creatively or have people to think that they need to provide solution rather than wait for instructions. Often we see that those who scores high marks does not necessary successful after they're graduated. And this shows that the education system does not reflects true potential of a students and this is wrong.

All these will directly affect us all and affect the country as well. Even the smallest things. Peoples in this country have been suppress and unable to perform to their maximum potentials. Sad thing eh...? but we're not in position to do anything but can only write it out here :)

Read a lots and question on everything, and we might stands a chance to makes things right again.

My Typical Sunday Activities

It's been some times since i posted my last blog. Going places and headache with some issues (glad it's over now). Well.... still waiting for my Penang trip photos before i can blog about it, in the meantime maybe i can post some photos i took during one of my weekends outing.

For those who're living in KL (or in some other cities) knows that there's not much things we can do, right? unless you have a gang of friends that have strong common interests that they can do together (such as hiking or dancing or etc... ^-^). and for the rest of us, it's either malls, movies, go eat somewhere nice, or sleep.

So.... on this particular Sunday on 07/01/2007 we went to catch a movie at Cineleisure. I'm not aware that so many of the previously vacant shop lots has been occupied now because it's totally nothing except for the cinema from my last visit here (few months back). I like the environment pretty much as it's spacious unlike some malls that's very cramp up, felt like you can't breath in there.

Canon in D (Rock Version)

I've always loves this song as it gives me kinda inspiring feels. The song title is "Canon in D" by the famous Johann Pachelbel. It's full title would be (Kanon und Gigue in D-Dur für drei Violinen und Basso Continuo or Canon and Gigue in D major for three Violins with Bass Accompaniment) if you wanna know. It was written in 1680 but still a popular song now.

That's some history about the song. I've done some search on this song and to my suprise i've found some interesting variation of this fantastic song, Canon in D Rock! This special arrangment is done by a guy called JerryC from Taiwan. Here's the video links let me know if you too find it nice.

Growing Grass in Your Office

We all know plants are pleasant to eyes and gives you some relaxing feels when they're somewhere around or within your visual sights. But how often do have the chance to growing or planting one? Obviously not with our usual hectic schedules and we can't just plant something without any knowledge about planting.

Well, if you like some living greenery beside you (you can grew it in your office), there's a way for you to easily achieves it. There's some prepacked grass beans in some medium sold out there. I got mine from my Cameron's Highland trips at RM10 for 5 units. They're made in all sort of shapes and sizes. It's very easy to grow it. Just put some water at the bottom of this thing and just leave it anywhere that there's lights. The grass will start growing after approximately 1 week after you consistently supply water to it.

Doesn't it looked cute? You'll feel the statisfaction of growing something yourself (especially for those who never planted anything before in his/her life). It's quite pleasant to have some nature stuff sitting nearby you while you're surrounded by all sorts of electronic machines and gadgets.

Baskin-Robbins Mid Valley Little Pets

It was this day on 31 October where i drove all the way from Sri Petaling to Mid Valley to get some yummie Baskin-Robbins ice creams because they have 31% discount on 31st of any month which has 31 day. This was my second time buying on this promotions day from this particular outlet. Well, it's quite a deal because you're getting something on a lower price. So, i happily parked my car and headed straight to the outlet. It was packed with people waiting for their turn to order, so i silently took a number and waited patiently for my turn.

tick tok tick toc .... finally it's my turn (after approximately 30 minutes) yay!...

So.... i put down my order of ice cream, paid the cashier and wait happily for the staff to pack them. Suddently i saw some "Baskin-Robbins Pets"! How cute they're! My god! I quickly snap it with my phone camera.

Dammit! This outlet is not clean and they're not doing enough cleaning and prevention! I've just paid for my ice cream and after all this long queue and all i get is this shits??

On another thought, maybe it just crawled in from outside and furthermore it's on the other side of where they stored their ice cream, big chance the stocks are not affected by it. So i took my orders anyway and i'll never ever coming back to this outlet again. So any Baskin-Robbins fans out there please be careful, but.... they're still a nice ice creams.

Cameron Highlands Trip

This is my 3 days 2 nights trip to Cameron Highlands on the 1st September 2006 with my lovely KP. It was my 2nd visit to this nice little highlands and i still find it to be a very nice place to relax and spend some quality time with someone =). Though this was my first experience driving up to Cameron Highlands, i still find it quite easy to locate with some visuals guidance from my project manager Chim, thank you.

Driving up from the old route (Tapah) is quite a nightmare when there's some big trucks or lorries passing by your car from the opposite directions with a mere few inches, phew.... so just try to keep a comfortable distants from them if possible. Freakin me out each time those big wheels passes by. Other than that, everything else is okay.

Booking a room in Cameron Highlands during peak seasons is quite a hassle as i've spend few hours browsing website and calling the hotels for securing a room for 2 nights (i did it in 2 week advance mind you). Ends up i managed to get a room in a budgeted hotel in Brinchang town which is still okay apart from the sudden malfunction of the water heater when you're using it for too long (grr...).

To conclude this whole trip, i would say that it was a pleasant holiday and this place is definitly a great place for someone to unwind from the hectic city lifestyle as it has cool, easy goin, and relax enviroment up here.
